“Your closet needs to be a place of joy and celebration of who are you now – not who you were.” – Stacy London
A quote by Stacy London isn’t what most people would expect from me. Even though I respect her work and her vision. I personally believe that everyone should dress however they want. In my opinion, there is no such thing as dressing for your size, shape or age. My style rules lean more toward: dressing for the person you are and the person you want to become. That is why I love this quote.
Tomorrow is my birthday. A day of celebration, a time of change. I feel this change in my sense of style and I am not sure who or what I want to be. My clothing closets reflect it. Therefore I have cleaned up and cleared out. But it seems like, I am still stuck with a decade worth of clothes, new splurges and no real style identity.
For my birthday, I give myself the gift of style discovery. This year, I am taking the path to discover who I am and who I want to be. Most of all, for my birthday I want my closet to reflect who I am, not who I used to be.
